5 Staple Dinners For When You Don't Have A Plan

Hey there lovelies! I hope this post finds you well! Today I want to share with you 5 staple dinners for when you don’t have a plan. These dinners are also great because they use foods that are easy to stock up on and foods that you most likely already have in your fridge or pantry. Any of these meals can be used for when you are short on time or haven’t made a grocery store run in a while and are running low on things to eat… and not to mention they are all delicious!

  1. Spaghetti and meatballs: I love to stock up on different kinds of pasta at the store and get a couple things of pasta sauce from Costco. Every once in a while I’ll also buy some frozen meatballs to use for when I don’t have any plans in place for dinner. (A great alternative to meatballs is to mix lean ground turkey or beef into the sauce).

  2. Breakfast burritos: These are great because they are super quick and super easy. All you need is a couple ingredients- tortillas (I always stock up because they can be used for so many different things), eggs, and whatever toppings you want to put on (salsa, cheese, avocados).

  3. Hobo dinners: Yeah, this might sound a little weird, but it is actually one of my favorite dinners! All you need is to roast some potatoes and carrots then mix it in with some ground beef or ground turkey (We always buy extra meat and throw it in the freezer for whenever we need to use it). Sometimes I like to add some other veggies like onions, corn, and peas then throw it all into a pan, sprinkle some cheese on top, and cook it for a couple minutes to get the cheese melted. Such a simple dinner but so yummy and healthy!

  4. Protein pancakes: We love using kodiac cakes but you can also just use regular pancake mix. Pancakes or waffles are so easy and quick for when you are in a hurry. Top with some fruit and have with a glass of milk for a delicious meal! And who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner??

  5. Tacos: These are also super great because they take about 5 minutes. Cook up some ground meat throw it on a warm tortilla and there you go. We also love adding cheese and avocado on top if we have them!
