Mind Games...


Sometimes there are those days where you have been cooped up in the house all day and it starts playing tricks on your mind....you start feeling depressed, worried, your anxiety kicks in, and you start to question some things about your life that you never worried about.  Well, that is Satan doing his work on you while he knows you are weak.  It gets so hard to kick those depressing/negative thoughts out of your mind when you are sitting at home (especially if you are alone or with little kids).  Luckily, there are some things you can do to help get those unnecessary thoughts out of your head! GET OUT!  I'm serious, just getting out of your house can help so much (take it from someone who has been there)!  Here are some ideas/reasons to get out of your house, get some fresh air, and get your mind back in the game:

  1. Go get the mail
  2. Go for a walk
  3. Go to the grocery store (even if you don't need anything, go grab  a little snack)
  4. Drop off a plate of treats at a neighbo'rs house
  5. Go for a drive
  6. Go out for ice cream
  7. Go get your car washed
  8. Pick up lunch from your favorite spot
  9. Make a Starbucks run
  10. Go buy something that you have been wanting for a while, but haven't pulled the trigger (lipstick, a pair of shoes, a necklace)

Oftentimes just getting out of the house, getting fresh air, and being around other people can can have an immediate effect on your mood.  Even if you aren't doing anything significant, just getting out will make you feel happier!
