Full Body Workout

Hey y'all!  Happy Wednesday!  Have you set goals for this week??  If so, how are you doing?  If not, I encourage you to do so!  It can be so much easier to keep working hard when have something to work for!

 I know it can be tough finding time to get to the gym, but even if you only have 20-30 minutes you can still fit a workout in!  Any workout is better than no workout! So, today I have a full body workout that can be done at home in 30 minutes!  Whether you are more advanced, or you are a beginner, this workout can be modified to challenge everyone!

  • 10 minute circuit (complete as many rounds as you can with as little rest as possible):
  1. Push ups 15 (modification: hands up on bench or box)
  2. Step up hops 12 each leg (modification: step ups without a hop)
  3. Ab bike 15 each side (modification: rest extended leg on floor)
  4. Burpees 15 (modification: take out the push up or do an inch worm instead of the jump)
  • 10 minute circuit:
  1. Plank shoulder taps 15 each side (modification: do the plank on your knees)
  2. Lunge walks 15 each side (modification: stationary lunges)
  3. Plank and reach 8 each side (modification: hold a plank for 30 seconds)
  4. Squat jumps 16 (modification: bodyweight squats to a calf raise)
  • 10 minute circuit:
  1. Commandos 12 on each side (modification: do them on your knees)
  2. Curtsey lunges 12 each side (modification: split squat)
  3. Side plank 30 seconds each side (modification: side plank on knees)
  4. Jumping jacks 50 (modification: steps instead of jumps)

Well there you have it!  A full body at home workout that will get your heart rate up and all you need is a box or bench.  There are so many exercises you can do with your own body weight, so don't make "not being able to go the the gym" an excuse for not working out!  Get creative and try to think of new exercises to try!
