Hello babes!! How are you?? I hope you all are having a wonderful week! So for today I want to talk a little bit about what I talked about in my stories yesterday (if you haven't seen it I have it highlighted on my profile named "BE YOU"). Watching the TEDtalk yesterday really got me thinking about how important it is to embrace your differences and express yourself through what you wear. Although fashion doesn't technically directly relate to health or fitness, what you wear affects how you feel which ultimately affects your health!
It is SO important to learn to embrace your differences. We grow up always trying to fit in and be just like everybody else instead of learning to love and embrace what makes us different. Learn to stand up and stand out. Being afraid is normal, but it is not an excuse! Find what makes you different and instead of trying to hide it use it to make you better and to help you stand out. Different isn't a bad thing...it is what makes you YOU. Use your differences to help your progress instead of hiding from them.
What you choose to wear shows who you are to the rest of the world. Wear what you like. Wear what you feel confident in. Wear what makes you happy. Who the heck cares if it's "last season" or "not in" right now... as long as it makes you happy that's all that matters. Wear what makes you feel good! When you wear something you love you are going to feel a whole lot more confident than wearing something that's "in" but not really your style. I don't know about you guys, but I always feel SOOOO good when I am wearing my favorite pair of leggings with a matching top. Like it seriously changes my mood when I just put it on. It makes me happier, more confident, and more likely to kill my workout! Whereas when I am wearing my last pair of leggings in the drawer because everything else is in the laundry and the top I wanted to wear with it is dirty so I am stuck with an outfit that's just whatever...I don't feel the same!! And I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. How you dress affects how you feel so wear something you feel confident in! Don't be afraid to stand out! Express yourself through fashion because what you wear tells the world who you are and what you stand for. So stand for something you love. Stand for something you believe in. Don't waste your time caring about what other people think...do what makes you happy, wear what makes you confident, and show off to the rest of the world how freakin' awesome you are!!
