Puerto Peñasco

Hey Y'all!!! Happy Wednesday!!! Today I am throwing it back to our family trip to Puerto Peñasco over Memorial Day!  Not going to lie...it was absolutely amazing!!!  It was by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!

We stayed at the Laguna Shores Resort which was 10-15 minutes away from the strip of resorts, but actually worked out in our favor!  Since we were more secluded we had the beach, gym, pool, and other amenities all to ourselves!  One of our favorite activities was playing on the 9 hole putting green with the whole family in the evenings.  We made up tons of games to play on it and seriously had blast!  We also played Disc Slam every single day down at the beach.  If you have never heard of it before or have never played you seriously need to!!  It is my new favorite game!  I definitely received the "most improved" award!! In the beginning I was AWFUL (Like couldn't even throw the frisbee anywhere near where I was supposed to)! After lots (and lots!) of practice I was able to make some game winning shots!!  It is seriously such a fun game that every family should have!  My family has THIS one.

One of the coolest things we were able to do was do walk out to the water in the morning.  And I'm not just talking about walking down by the cabanas....I'm talking about walking out over a mile to where the tide was.  Puerto Peñasco has the second biggest tide in the world!!  And it is absolutely breathtaking!! It was so amazing sit and watch the tide come in over a mile within an hour!  Seriously, one of the most amazing things I have seen in my 23 years of life!

To give you a better idea of what I am talking about, these pictures were taken at the exact same place one hour apart from each other!

We loved driving into town every night for dinner!  And let's be honest...Mexico has the BEST Mexican food!!  Authentic tacos are one of my all time favorite foods...and I had tacos pretty much every day (it made me a very happy girl haha)!

Now...I thought San Diego had pretty sunsets... but that is nothing compared to how they look in Puerto Peñasco!!  My little brother took these pictures of me and they are ALL 100% not edited!!  And I might be a little biased...but they turned out SOOOO cool!

Here are a couple more pictures of the sunset that are also completely unedited!

I know this post was a little all over the place (haha) but moral of the story...Puerto Peñasco was an absolutely amazing trip!!!  It was only a five and a half hour drive for us in San Diego and a three and a half hour drive for my family in Phoenix!  If any of you need a quick getaway this is the perfect place!  It has everything you need for a stress free vacation!  If any of you have questions about this magnificent city, feel free to ask because I would love to give you my opinions on hotels, things to do, and food!

Sorry for all the pics in this post...I just couldn't narrow it down!!

I hope you all have a fantastic week!  Love you all!

XO, Kenz
