Top 3 must-haves for at home fitness

Hello!  I hope you are doing wonderfully!  It's Wednesday which means only two more days until the weekend!  We are headed to Utah tomorrow which means our "weekend" starts early!

Today I want to share with you some of my favorite pieces of fitness equipment that I have in my home.  When it comes to staying in shape and muscle recovery they are all game changers!

1. My first piece of equipment that I CANNOT live without are my mini bands.  They are cheap, small (easy to pack or take anywhere), and can be used for just about everything!  I am not even kidding when I say I use these everyday!  The great thing about them is they come in a set of 3 bands (I have the medium, heavy, and extra heavy) that make them ideal for any exercise. They are also perfect to take on a trip (especially when I know I won't have access to a gym) because there are so many exercises that you can do with just one band!  You can find some HERE or HERE. Some of my favorite exercises to do with mini bands are: squats, glute kickbacks/dirty dog, deadlifts, bicep curls and shoulder raises (with band around wrists), and planks with side kick.  

2. The second item on my list is a foam roller.  No joke...THIS IS A LIFE SAVER!!!  My foam roller has saved my life countless times!  I not only use it when I am super sore (like my legs right now!!) but I use it in the mornings to help get my muscles ready to go and also when I am just feeling stiff (which tends to happen a lot haha).  HERE is the one I use but there are several types like HERE and HERE.  Having a foam roller is a key component in aiding in muscle recovery and it's a lot cheaper than paying for a massage (or begging my husband for one haha)!

3. Last but not least on my list are TRX bands.  There are hundreds and hundreds of exercises you can do with TRX bands.  You can work on your arms, legs, core, and even cardio with TRX bands. They are awesome because thy are small enough to pack in my suitcase and can attach to almost anything!  I can use them almost everywhere!  Needless to say I am obsessed with my TRX bands and even though they are a little bit pricey they are definitely worth every penny! You can find them HERE.  Some of my favorite exercises to do with TRX bands are: single leg square, push-ups, tricep extensions, planks, deltoid flys, burpees, and let's just face it the list goes on and on!
