Track workout

Hello lovelies! I hope you are doing well.  Today I am talking about some of my favorite track workouts.  I LOVE doing track workouts because I like mixing things up and being creative with workouts!  I know cold weather is just around the corner, but take some time while the weather is nice and try some of these workouts!  Let me know what y'all think!!

  • Workout 1:  -Run the first curve, lunge walk the first straight-a-way, jog the second curve, jog backwards the second straight-a-way = 1 lap.  Try to go for 20-30 minutes or set a distance goal for yourself!

 

  • Workout 2: BLEACHERS! (My fav!!) Set 1: jog 3 rounds of all the bleachers (going up then down all of the staircases).  Set 2: jog 2 rounds of all the bleachers with 15 pushups (hands on a bench, feet on the floor) before each staircase and 15 tricep dips (hands on a bench, feet on the floor) after each staircase.  Set 3: SPRINTS *Stay at one staircase the whole time* 3o second sprint up and down the staircase (as many times as you can), 30 second rest.  Repeat 5 times.  Set 4: 2 rounds of all the bleachers jumping with both feet on the way up and jogging on the way down (for an extra challenge, on round two try single leg hops on the way up).  Set 5: COOL DOWN jog 2 rounds of all the bleachers.  ALL DONE!  *1-2 minute break after each set*

 

  • Workout 3: (On turf) Set 1:  100 yard sprint, 15 split squats each side, 10 burpees, 15 leg lowers. Repeat 3-5 times.  Set 2: SUICIDES.  Start on the goal line and do a suicide to the 25 yard line, 15 pushups, 30 second plank.  Repeat 3-5 times.
